His House Christian Fellowship has been serving Christ on the university campuses since 2001. It was at UW Oshkosh that the first ministry was begun by Jeremy and Lori Rush.  In 2004, we incorporated as Wisconsin Christian Campus Ministries with a vision to reach the students across all the universities in Wisconsin.  In 2007, a ministry was begun at UW Madison.  Utilizing a house that had been associated with a previous ministry known as Koinonia House, His House began it's first bible studies and outreach meetings.
In 2011, a ministry is forming at Lawrence University, located in Appleton, WI.

With a passion to see university students enter a personal relationship with Christ, and grow in that relationship to become a follower of Christ in every area of life, the staff of His House fervently serve students and faculty on each campus.  We accomplish this by the four pillars of Campus Ministry.

"Four Pillars of Campus Ministry"

  1. Learn about God and how to know Him better through our Outreach meetings and Bible studies.
  2. Build healthy relationships through activities at our Campus Houses.
  3. Grow on personal level through small groups, retreats, service projects and mission trips.
  4. Serve peers by taking on a volunteer position within the Campus Ministry.
Learn is the first evangelistic component to campus ministry.  Students are introduced to the Love of our Lord and Savior through their initial interactions with the ministry and those involved in the ministry.   We strive to offer a large group meeting that will meet the needs of each student in their introduction or continued walk with the Lord.  We also offer multiple small group studies from a variety of perspectives, but all with the common purpose of upholding Christ as our authority, and seeking to know Him better.

Build
is the second evangelistic component to the Campus Ministry model.  One of the greatest assets that campus ministry has is its ability to provide opportunities to students to build relationships, which are key to a young person.  Some relationships built at college are lifetime relationships, some even marital relationships!  It’s during times of weekend activities, or other participation that students will begin to build not only a relationship with other students, but a trust to the group and ultimately a trust in God.

Grow
is where discipleship is displayed the campus ministry model.  His House Christian Fellowship is dedicated to following the Great Commission that Jesus Christ gave before he ascended into heaven.  That is to “go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” – Matt. 28:18-20NIV.  In the university setting, the nations are coming to us.  With thousands of international students at Wisconsin universities, we have an obligation to reach out and move beyond just sharing with the love of Jesus Christ.  We are to make disciples of them, teaching them to obey what God commands and in turn take it back to their country and make disciples in their home country.  His House is committed to creating students of the Word, who seek Truth and know how to effectively spread it.

Serve
is the final component in the campus ministry model.  Students are challenged to serve the Kingdom of God. When they leave campus ministry they need to be in service somewhere; perhaps within their campus ministry, or perhaps at their local church.  We are commanded in Scriptures to give back to God of our time and our talents; graduates and current students of campus ministry upon leaving need to know and act upon their faith in service to our Lord.
