Fall of 2012 we will begin an outreach to the Lawrence University campus.
Hello everyone! Let
me introduce myself to you. My name is Lyndsey Kirk. I am 24 years old, Illinois born and bred, and I am one of the newest additions to the His House Christian Fellowship staff. I have moved to Wisconsin, officially making me a cheesehead (yes, that is what I call all Wisconsinites), had a birthday there, and I will be ready to hit the ground running with His House. My role as a new staff member will be to plant a ministry on the campus of Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin. When I was a college student at Eastern Illinois University, I was very involved in campus ministry, it played such an important role in my walk with the Lord. Recently, I completed a year-long campus ministry internship there, where I greatly enjoyed ministering to college students and watching God work in their lives. Now, I am very excited to begin work at Lawrence! Lawrence is a small, private university and I am expecting God to do big things there. In this first year of ministry, I am asking God to bring me a core group of Christian students who are excited about seeking God together and shining His light on their campus. By God’s grace, I hope to begin a weekly Bible study with these students, providing for them a place where they can find Christian community, grow in their understanding of God, and be empowered to serve and love their fellow students with the unique gifts that God has given them. I ask that you would please join me in prayer for the students of Lawrence University. Pray that God’s Spirit would permeate their campus and that His truth would be known there. Please pray also for me, that the Lord would give me much wisdom and discernment as I seek to do His will and reach Lawrence students for His glory. Thank you so much for partnering with this ministry! It was so nice to meet you! --Lyndsey Kirk, His House Christian Fellowship, Lawrence University
